Inpatient Residential Program

Inpatient Residential Program Las Vegas, Nevada

About Our Inpatient Residential Program

The goal of our accredited inpatient treatment center is to provide a safe place for addiction treatment to those who need it.

At the Victorious Journey Recovery Center, our inpatient residential programs provide patients a place to heal and grow. And while no inpatient treatment program can “cure” addiction, we proudly give patients the tools to face their mental health and substance abuse issues. Below, we will outline our different types of inpatient treatment and how our treatment facility empowers patients to achieve recovery.

Trauma-Informed Treatment

At the core of our inpatient treatment programming, we address trauma and the mental health effects that it can have on people. Why? Because trauma leads to addiction for countless people. Moreover, addiction often leads to further trauma, which creates a vicious circle that can be difficult to escape. And while we will work to treat the addiction, we also want to address the underlying issues. In this way, we give our patients the opportunity for comprehensive, holistic healing.

Inpatient Rehab Programs

At the Victorious Journey Recovery Center, we offer two unique inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs: Residential Rehab and Intensive Inpatient Treatment. As you read, bear in mind that each program uses treatment modalities described on this page. But let’s take a look at which of these programs is right for you or your loved one.

Intensive Inpatient Program

This level of care best suits patients who experience behavioral issues on top of their substance use disorder diagnosis. Here, our interdisciplinary care staff helps patients learn life skills that will help patients develop real-life skills that will empower them post-treatment. This rigorous residential treatment program combines intensive substance abuse treatment with mental health assistance for co-occurring challenges. And together, these two strategies treat addiction at its roots to ensure that patients can avoid relapses and achieve long-term sobriety.

Residential Rehab Program

Our residential rehabilitation program is ideal for patients who have experienced drastic adverse effects from long-term substance abuse. This includes patients who may have lost relationships, gotten into legal trouble, or experienced other major issues due to alcohol and drug abuse. Your addiction recovery treatment will focus on learning coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and regaining control of your day-to-day life.

Treatment Approaches at the Victorious Journey Recovery Center

While we tailor treatment plans to each patient’s personal history and needs, we do offer certain concrete inpatient treatment options. Depending on the patient, these treatments may address drug addiction, alcohol addiction, or behavioral health issues. Some of these evidence-based treatment modalities include:

Individual Therapy

  • Substance Use Disorder Counseling: Here, patients meet one-on-one with trained mental health experts to discuss their personal relationships with substance abuse. Whether a patient is recovering from addiction to drugs or alcohol, this counseling helps them process their feelings and history of use in a way that prepares them for long-term sobriety.
  • Recovery Maintenance Skills Counseling: While many patients can get sober, the more challenging aspect is staying sober. This treatment equips patients with the skills to stay sober long after they have graduated from our treatment program.
  • Co-Occurring Challenges Counseling: Trauma and mental illness can play large roles in addiction. Here, patients address these issues in a way that allows them to build the foundations of recovery. Treating addiction without treating the underlying issues would be akin to placing a band-aid on a wound, and our treatment program does not employ half-measures like that. Instead, we treat addiction and mental wellness as one, single issue, and our patients get better care as a result.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): In CBT, patients learn to identify connections between their thoughts, feelings, and decisions. Through this treatment, patients learn to identify self-destructive patterns and replace them with healthier choices.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): DBT is based on CBT, but it focuses on helping patients develop skills to manage challenging, painful emotions. Rather than avoiding or acting on these painful feelings, patients learn to process their emotions and act thoughtfully.

Group Counseling in Las Vegas, Nevada

  • Process Groups: Here, small groups of patients meet with our mental health experts to discuss their struggles and concerns about recovery. This process gives patients the support and encouragement they need to know that they are not alone in their recovery.
  • Experiential Groups: These action-oriented groups meet to give patients real-life experiences of coping and recovering. For example, one of our experiential groups may use the skills they’ve learned to create art or complete a physical activity. When our patients have space to test the ideas discussed in counseling, they are better prepared for life after rehabilitation.
  • Psychoeducation Groups: Oftentimes, people rely on unhealthy coping mechanisms simply because they do not know any alternatives. These group classes help patients learn to identify their mental health struggles and find more constructive means to handle them.
  • Family Therapy: This treatment involves family members and loved ones in the treatment process. This rehabilitation treatment focuses on identifying family dynamics, improving communication, educating loved ones about addiction and recovery, and addressing resentments that may otherwise continue to strain familial relationships.

Peer Support Recovery Groups

Peer Support Recovery Groups Las Vegas, Nevada

While group therapy works to help patients build strong interpersonal relationships, our commitment to peer support does not end there. The Victorious Journey Recovery Center facilitates peer support groups that create a space for patients to be vulnerable, speak openly about their experiences, and follow a framework for practicing new recovery-oriented views and behaviors.

We offer the following peer recovery groups as part of our inpatient care:

Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Therapies

While all inpatient treatments at the Victorious Journey Recovery Center are evidence-based, these therapies are less traditional. They exist to supplement our other treatment modalities to create an all-encompassing environment of healing. These treatments include:

  • Yoga: Yoga provides a gentle way for patients to reconnect their physical and emotional selves. This program is specially designed for people in treatment for substance use disorders and utilizes a trauma-and-chronic-pain-sensitive approach. This includes using carefully selected asanas (physical poses), intentional breathing exercises, and meditation that enhances mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
  • Qi Gong: This ancient Chinese practice blends gentle rhythmic movements, breathing techniques, and focused attention to help reduce stress and pain. Physically, this practice also helps develop stamina, build strength, and revitalize the immune system.
  • Tai Chi: Similar to Qi Gong, Tai Chi promotes more balanced mental and emotional states. It is a low-impact treatment option that enhances physical wellness while serving as a healthy, constructive emotional, and mental outlet.

Specialized Treatment Tracks

As all quality inpatient rehabs will attest, addiction recovery is not one-size-fits-all. That’s why we offer two special treatment options for patients who need care not provided by our standard treatment modalities. These tracks include:

Chronic Pain Recovery

Chronic Pain and addiction Recovery Las Vegas, Nevada

Our chronic pain recovery track utilizes a unique bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach that distinguishes between pain and the mental suffering that it generates. While pain may be unavoidable for those with chronic pain, suffering is not. While we cannot cure chronic pain, this program can show patients new techniques and practices that promote improved daily function and quality of life.

In combination with our CAM services, patients practice various cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and physical strategies that reduce the intensity of chronic pain, and thus weaken their relationship to addiction.
